Noise Orchestra were invite to showcase their work and run a workshop at the Sharp Futures Teacher Event for their Computing, Curriculum and Careers day. Organised by The Sharp Project Manchesters’ centre for new tech start ups, digital entrepreneurs and businesses; Sharp Futures is their community and education strad that aims to inspire young people into the arts, digital and technology sector by providing training, tours of the building and skills and employment opportunities through their apprenticeship scheme. It was great to discuss our work with other tech starts ups at Sharp and interact with secondary Teachers around curriculum links to our work through STEM subjects, arts, music and computing. This was the first outing for our ‘Noise Orchestra: Build a Noise Machine Kit’ ; which contains our basic light theremin circuit and instructions for building. We discussed the educational opportunities for the kits use in schools.
