CITY SOUND WALKS AT MANCHESTER SCIENCE FESTIVAL
Our night time noise walks premiered in England this winter as part of Manchester Science Festival 2018. Audiences used portable noise machine synths to play the light of the city in a moving psycho-geographical sound walk around industrial Manchester. Hearing the tones, beats and rhythms of a city generated from ambient and electrical lighting, urban light design, flashing lamp posts and passing cars. Prior to the festival we partnered with Brighter Sound to deliver an electronic course for 15-25 year olds who learned circuit building and soldering skills to create their own self built machines to use on the walks.
